Los Angeles based artist, Yvonne Mecialis, showed a natural talent for art at an early age. She learned to work in various media including oil painting, watercolor, acrylic, charcoal, and pen and ink. After receiving her BFA in Illustration from CSU Long Beach, she began using an airbrush. Yvonne's work reflects sensuality in industrial settings, as well as her love of sci-fi and fantasy. She often draws inspiration from automotive, and industrial design. Her work focuses on contrasts between soft and hard textures, and the play of light, shadow and form. Since 1998, Yvonne has extended her talent to the world of custom painting. She has painted custom cars and motocycles, helmets, guitars and boats. She designed her own set of freehand airbrush templates called "METROPOLIS", for Artool. Yvonne's work has been featured in various publications including: EASYRIDERS, BIG TWIN, LA FILM & MUSIC, AUTO ART, AUTO GRAPHICS, SAVAGE, and HEAVY METAL.  One of her paintings adorned the entrance kiosk at the LOLLAPALOOZA concert in 1997. She has had gallery showings in Los Angeles and Chicago. Yvonne has also been featured on TV, on the custom car show, "RIDES."  In 2018, she was asked to lend her painting skills to create large-scale murals to adorn the walls of the LIONS DRAG STRIP MUSEUM,  in Rancho Dominguez, CA.

Apart from painting, one of Yvonne's hobbies has been modeling.  She has appeared in PLAYBOY, PENTHOUSE (Holland), and FEMME FATALES.  Her husband Leo and her friend Jim Creighton are her two favorite photogaphers. She and her husband often enjoy seeking out fun, outdoor locations for photography.
